Four rural Northeast Ohio hospitals receive grants

Four rural Northeast Ohio hospitals have received grants to improve community services.

Grants of $20,100 each will be given to Allen Community Hospital in Oberlin, Lodi Community Hospital, University Hospitals Conneaut Medical Center and University Hospitals Geneva Medical Center. The money is from the Ohio Small Hospital Improvement Program and the Medicare Rural Hospital Flexibility Program.

The grants can be used to enhance emergency medical services, quality, performance or patient safety.

A total of $663,300 was awarded to 32 rural Ohio hospitals.
