CrainsCleveland.com launches white paper library

10:39 am, March 8, 2010

CrainsCleveland.com continues to evolve with today's launch of a white paper library aimed at providing readers with authoritative reports prepared by business experts.

Up first: a piece from Kent State University on technology transfer.

Also today you can find the second installment of Crain's weekly podcast hosted by designer/reporter Joel Hammond.

Today's lead segment looks at the Northeast Ohio plastics industry, where manufacturers are in acquisition mode as strong companies look to scoop up weak ones. It also features discussion about for-profit colleges taking on traditional, nonprofit counterparts, the region's angel investors and the marketing struggles the Cleveland Indians are facing.

Reporters Chuck Soder, Dan Shingler and Shannon Mortland share their insights in the podcast.

There's new material, too, on our 30th anniversary web page, including a look at the most memorable local radio and television personalities on the air since 1980.

You'll also find a look back at the 1992 Book of Lists, a story from our 20th anniversary section about how manufacturers respond during a recession (sound familiar) and more. Plus, there's still time to take our Northeast Ohio business history quiz and get a chance to win a $100 Lola gift certificate.
