Lake Erie College has received a $1 million gift from a 1980 graduate.

Deborah Goodrich Royce and her husband, Charles Royce, provided the gift to the college, which will name its fine arts building after the couple in the fall.

Deborah Goodrich Royce starred in films such as “April Fool's Day” and “Just One of the Guys” and appeared on various TV shows and movies. She and her husband now live in Greenwich, Conn., and run the Avon Theatre Film Center, which sponsors talks by film directors, writers and actors.
